
Alesia LacinaBlack Nose Diary January 9 - 29, 2008 (Back to exhibition page) Alesia Lacina grew up in the Kansas City area and received her BFA in Graphic Design at Wichita State University. She moved to Iowa with her husband, Tom Lacina, and completed her MFA in Painting at the University of Iowa in 1984. They settled in Grinnell where Alesia has engaged in a diverse array of artistic activity from studio work to set design to art education to graphic design. Since leaving her position as Graphic Artist for Pulmuone Wildwood in 2005, Alesia has served as the Director of Summer Arts Camp for grades K-6, Director of Studio 6 after school program for grades K-4 and Artistic Coordinator for the Grinnell Artist Residency for undergraduate artists. Alesia is the proud mother of two young men, Joe Lacina, a recent graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art majoring in Painting, and Jon Lacina, a Graphic Design major at Iowa State University. |
