Our storefront studio hosts classes, pop-up concerts, and our Local Artist Market. Its large windows allow for nice natural light and can attract the attention of passersby.
Studio B (MLab)
Studio B hosts the new Maker Lab (MLab). A collaboration between the Grinnell Area Arts Council and the Wilson Center at Grinnell College, MLab is a space for creative community, fabrication, tinkering, and more.
For more information, please visit the Grinnell College webpage for MLab.
Studio C is an auxiliary space suitable for collaborative brainstorming, making, and everything in between. Its large windows and secret outdoor deck provide a festive and lively atmosphere.
Studio D (the Garage)
Studio D is located in the garage, and can be accessed via the alley between Main and Broad Street. This space is home to our ceramics community. They manage open studio hours, classes and workshops, and various community fundraisers and events. Visit the CLASSES link above to see current ceramics offerings.
Local Artist Market
Our Local Artist Market occurs 3-4 times throughout the year, culminating in mid-November to coincide with downtown Grinnell's Jingle Bell Holiday event. We feature artists in Grinnell and other nearby towns, working in ceramics, woodworking, fiber arts, boutique lamps, and more.
Contact our Market Coordinator
Make Shift is a "low-stakes" making time facilitated by Grinnell College art professor Jeremy Chen. Usually meeting on Thursday evenings, these sessions focus on fun and fellowship. Jeremy provides all the necessary making supplies, and a relaxed environment that is conducive for conversing and making community.
