Simple Paper Weaving: Day Two - Plaid Sunday Weaving

Warp and weft are the two basic components used in weaving. The lengthwise warp paper strips are held stationary in a frame while the weft strips are drawn through and inserted over-and-under the warp.

Supplies: Glue stick+paper or colorful magazine pictures.

How to: 
1) To make the Warp: Begin by folding paper in half to make your frame.
2) Measure the width of the warp strips and cut leaving edge uncut. Make them wide you will be adding narrow strips.
3) Unfold paper. You now have your frame.
4) Measure and cut weft strips to be woven.
You will need wide strips and narrow strips.
The narrow strips will be woven on top of the wide strips.
5) Weave the wide strips first.
6) Weave the narrow strips on top of the wide weft strips.
7) Now weave narrow strips on top of the warp frame.
8) Finish by gluing strip ends to frame.
