Warp and weft are the two basic components used in weaving. The lengthwise warp paper strips are held stationary in a frame while the weft strips are drawn through and inserted over-and-under the warp.

Supplies: Glue stick+paper or colorful magazine pictures.

How to:
1) To make the Warp: Begin by folding paper in half to make your frame.
2) Measure the width of the warp strips and cut leaving edge uncut.
3) Unfold paper. You now have your frame.
4) Measure and cut weft strips to be woven.
5) Begin weaving.
6) Finish by gluing strip ends to frame.
Note: You can experiment with cutting both the warp and weft strips. One example is straight, the other angled.

(Have fun--there are no mistakes!)

Supplies: Pencil+Glue stick, clear tape or double sided tape +scissors+paper, magazine pages or heavy paper+string, yarn or thread for hanging.

How to:
1) Cut strips of paper 8 1/2 x 1/4 inches (longer or shorter
doesn't have to be exact).

on to a pencil until you get near or to the fold.
4) Slide the paper off the pencil. It will naturally keep
a circular shape.
5) Repeat from the other end. You can roll it the same way or opposite direction, depending how you want it to look.
6) Slide the paper off the pencil.
7) Make several.
8) Arrange them in any design you like or a mandala shape.
9) Glue or tape together.
