Alesia Lacina has a long history of arts education in Grinnell. Here are some of her favorite art activities for you!
Many Mini Drawings
(Have fun--there are no mistakes!)
Supplies: paper + pencils + markers
How to:
Fold paper many times to make small squares. Unfold.
Draw from your imagination or from objects around the house.
Abstract Mini Collages
Supplies: Glue stick+scissors+magazines/catalogs+markers
How to:
1) Use scraps from past projects or cut out new shapes.
2) Play and arrange.
3) Glue them down. Draw on them if you like.
Flower Sunshine Paper Mosaic
(Have fun--there are no mistakes!)
Supplies: Glue stick+scissors+magazines/catalogs/construction paper+paper plate
How to:
1) Find paper colors and patterns that you like.
2) Cut out squares or shapes.
3) Arrange them, glue them down.
Take a photo and post them, send to friends or to GAAC for reposting!
